Christine Melgar Taylor - Director
Christine Melgar Taylor has been teaching ballet in this
area since 1971. She is an alumnus of the School of American
Ballet and attended NYU School of Theater Arts. Her early
training began at the New Jersey School of Ballet, The
American Ballet Theatre School and the School of American
Ballet. However, much of her foundation for teaching came
from Margaret Dallman, Executive and Artistic director of
the original North Jersey Ballet Company and the original
North Jersey School of Dance Arts. Taylor attended NYU
School of Theater Arts, performed with the Edwin Williams
Modern Dance Company, and is the author of “Teaching
the Ballet Class” and “Keep It Going,”
both published by Dance Teacher Now. A former faculty
member of Centenary College for Women, Mrs. Taylor has
taught ballet in this area for thirty –one years.
